About The Romance Book Club

Because all the books this club reads must fall under the romance genres. If you know you love the genre why change a good thing?

Some of the genres you can expect to read in this club are 

• Contemporary : Set in the modern day with modern-day problems. 
• Historical: Set in the past, with specific eras like Regency, Victorian, or Medieval Europe being popular sub-categories. 
• Paranormal: Features supernatural elements like vampires, werewolves, or magic. 
• Romantic Suspense: Combines a romantic plot with elements of a thriller or mystery. 
• Fantasy: Blends romance with fantasy worlds and themes, often      called "romantasy". 
• Erotic: Focuses on the romantic and sexual relationship between characters, with the romance taking centre stage. 
• Young  Adult (YA) : Centre’s on romantic relationships between teenage protagonists. 
• Science Fiction: Incorporates science fiction elements such as space travel or aliens. 
• Regency: A specific type of historical romance set during the British Regency period. 
• Religious or Inspirational: Centre’s on romance with a spiritual or faith-based theme. 
• Sports: Sports play a major role in the story, often with one or both characters being athletes. 
• Romantic Comedy: Uses humour to drive the plot and interactions between characters. 
• New Adult Romance: Focuses on characters who are between the ages of 18 and 25, often in college 

Anyone but this is an adult book club and adult themes will be discussed.

For all adult book clubs we say you must be over 16.  Please note adult themes may be discussed.

The membership is £5.00 per month.

We meet once a month at The Quill & Quiver shop. Please see the events page for specific dates and times. 

Come along anyway, life happens, we don't hold it against anyone.

We want to make sure everyone enjoys what they are reading so the book group are consulted each month. There may be themes from time to time eg October may relate to Halloween in some way.
