About The HORROR Book Club

Because all the books this club reads are classed as non fiction. Below we have included possible genres for book choices. We appreciate these aren't for everyone and in that case please check out our other book clubs. 

• Memoir: Personal stories that explore significant experiences, challenges, or life lessons.
• Biography: The life story of a notable person, highlighting their achievements and impact.
• History: Engaging accounts of past events that help explain the world today.
• Psychology: Insights into human behaviour, thinking, emotions, and relationships.
• Popular Science: Accessible explanations of scientific discoveries and ideas for general readers.
• Current Affairs & Politics: Exploration of contemporary issues, public policy, and societal debates.
• Social Issues & Social Justice: Examination of inequality, identity, rights, and social change.
• Business & Leadership: Lessons on leadership, decision-making, innovation, and organizational success.
• Personal Development: Practical ideas for improving habits, mindset, productivity, and well-being.
• Narrative Nonfiction: True stories told with the pace and style of a novel, often combining history, journalism, or biography. 

Anyone but this is an adult book club and adult themes will be discussed.

For all adult book clubs we say you must be over 16. Please note adult themes may be discussed. 

The membership is £5.00 per month .

We meet once a month at The Quill & Quiver shop. Please see the events page for specific dates and times. 

Come along anyway, life happens, we don't hold it against anyone.

We want to make sure everyone enjoys what they are reading so the book group are consulted each month but final decision on the book is made by Katie and The Quill & Quiver. There may be themes from time to time eg October may relate to Halloween in some way.
